Coinbase has announced that its business customers can now accept payments from AI agents, according to reporting from CoinDesk.

This new capability, which is rolling out this week, is made possible through the x402 protocol, developed and incubated by Coinbase.

Coinbase Business users will be able to leverage this protocol to facilitate transactions with AI agents, a move aimed at supporting the growing ecosystem of AI-powered economic activity.
